Welcome to DEVISE! This is a tool for researchers to easily view various metrics across the Rocky Mountain region.
Launch The AppOur Mission
DEVISE (Derived Environmental Variability Indices Spatial Extractor) is a front-end interface designed for users to summarize vast amounts of gridded weather and phenology data for specific geographic areas in the intermountain western USA.
Whether analyzing a defined spatial layer like a hunt unit or a custom point you place anywhere on the map, our COG-powered architecture enables on-the-fly analysis. You can calculate key environmental variables, such as temperature and precipitation, across annual, monthly, or daily time periods, and even explore potential future conditions with integrated climate projection data. The results are brought to life through a dynamic chart and map that work in tandem. When you're ready to take your work offline, you can export findings as high-resolution images, download raw CSV data, or use our API and S3 browser to integrate the data into your own research.
